ABOUT TENDER MERCIES OUTREACH FOUNDATION

Tender Mercies Outreach Foundation is an indigenous, independent Non Government Organization operating in Uganda with Registration Number: S. 5914/8162.

TMOF was founded in October 2003 and officially launched on the 18th of September, 2004 with the aim of directly responding to the negative impact of HIV/AIDS, Sickle Cells and Bad water.
TMOF uses a participatory approach with the grass-root communities to help them live sustainable, decent and meaningful lives.

Our Mission

To provide holistic care-medical, social, emotional and spiritual support to people who suffer greatly due to HIV/AIDS, Sickle Cells and Bad Water.

Our Objectives

The overall objective of this organization is to offer a unique model of care to People who suffer greatly due to HIV/AIDS, Sickle Cells and Bad Water; a model that takes care of the whole person, including the needs of the body, mind, family and community.

  • To provide education opportunities for orphaned and needy children in rural areas.          
  • Promoting the Intellectual Development and Self Esteem of Orphaned and other Vulnerable Children.
  • To provide community based health care (including Voluntary Counseling and testing services) tailored to the individual's situation and needs for persons living with HIV/AIDS.
  • To mobilize and support community activities for HIV/AIDS and Sickle Cell prevention, management and treatment
  • To provide services that mitigate the socio–economic and other effects of HIV/AIDS and Sickle Cells within the communities.
  • To set up vocational training centers to equip beneficiaries with different skills for self-reliance as well as talent development.
  • To encourage spiritual growth and dependence on God through bible study, prayer and evangelism activities for the children and their families.
