HYGIENE AND SANITATION PROGRAM
The hygiene and sanitation program derives its trainings from a book entitled were there is no doctor which was given to the organization as a gift from Nadine Hart of Billings Montana.
In these trainings that we conduct, we equip the community with information;
- On how to avoid different kinds of sicknesses. Here we talk about cleanliness the way to avoid problems that come from lack of cleanliness.
- On basic guidelines of cleanliness like personal cleanliness (hygiene), cleanliness in the home, cleanliness in eating and drinking.
- On how to protect our children’s health.
- On public cleanliness (sanitation).
- On better latrines (like the closed latrine, the fly-trapping VIP latrine)
- About worms and other intestinal parasites like round warms (Ascaris), whipworms (trichuris), pinworms (threadworms), hook worm and tape worm. How they spread (tramitted), their effect on health, prevention and treatment.
- On trichinosis (effect on health, prevention and treatment).
- On Amoebas (effect on health, prevention and treatment).
- Giardia (signs, effect on health, prevention and treatment).
