WIDOWS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMS
TMOF equips widows with the skills to enable them to be self-supporting in caring for themselves and their children.
African Arts and Crafts
TMOF trains widows to make African arts and crafts. As widows near completion of their training, the arts and crafts they have made are sold.
African arts and crafts include tablemats from natural banana fiber, batiks (drawing on fabric with wax), hats and other items. 
Groups of widows are provided with additional training for operating a small business. They take a loan for initial expenses and are provided with crafts kits. These widows start a small business as a team and also partner together for the care of their children. These are successful ventures and these widows are excited that they can still make valuable contributions to their community.
